The Civic Honors Program at OCCC recognizes students who demonstrate an outstanding commitment to both civic involvement and personal life development. Current OCCC students are given the opportunity to serve both on and/or off campus. OCCC has over 140 diverse community partner agencies with volunteer options like the United Way, the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, the Oklahoma City Zoo, Oklahoma City Public Schools, and many more. Service opportunities may also be found on campus including Adopt-A-Street, voter registration, large and small event support, and so much more. On-campus service opportunities must be approved through the Office of Student Life.

The Student Physical Therapy Assistant Organization is a club for student enrolled in the physical therapy assistant degree program. Duties include assisting the physical therapist in implementing treatment programs according to this/her plan of care. PTAs teach and monitor exercise and activities of daily living, conduct treatments using special equipment, administer modalities, and regularly report to the physical therapist on the patient's responses and progress. This club helps student prepare for their future careers as PTA's.

Psi Beta is a National Honor Society in Psychology. Our purpose is to provide students with the socially rewarding opportunity to build relationships with other students, develop leadership skills and enrich the educational experience.

Psi Beta, the national honor society in psychology for community and junior colleges, was founded in 1981 to recognize the scholastic achievements and interests in psychology of two-year college students. Psi Beta provides national recognition and serves as an aid for stimulating interest in psychology as an academic and professional field of endeavor. The knowledge gained from the study of psychology is applicable to any career the student may choose. Through Psi Beta, students feel a sense of community with others in psychology as they learn more about the larger field of psychology. Members are eligible to win national awards in research and community service. But above all, membership in Psi Beta is a well-respected credential for achievement and acknowledges interest in psychology early in one's educational career. Psi Beta recognizes five classes of members: active, honorary, alumni, inactive, and faculty. The core of any chapter is its active members. These members must be enrolled in a two-year college with a Psi Beta chapter and must have completed at least 12 semester hours total college credit. (If the chapter's eligibility criteria are more stringent than required by national Psi Beta, the appropriate changes should be noted in this paragraph.) Also, members must have an overall grade average of 3.25 or higher, or the equivalent of ranking in the top 35% of enrolled students, whichever standard is higher. Active members are privileged to vote, to hold office and to participate in all Psi Beta activities, including a variety of Psi Beta competitions

Active members receive an NBCOT study pack prior to graduation to aid in passing the national exam!
